Pommier Med Spa in Riverview has highly experienced injectors who are artists with Botox that can smooth facial wrinkles, creating natural-looking softening while keeping facial expression. We customize the treatment to each patient’s specific aesthetic needs.

Botox is one of the most popular and effective anti-aging treatments. Over 11 million men and women from around the world have used it. This makes Botox one of the world’s most common non-invasive cosmetic procedures. Botox is also the first and only FDA-approved treatment for moderate to severe forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet. Botox is also effective at treating other medical conditions, such as chronic migraines or excessive underarm sweating, known as Hyperhidrosis.

How Does Botox Work?

Your provider will review your treatment areas and how many units of Botox are needed, using small micro-needles to inject the neurotoxin into the facial muscles. The toxin will temporarily weaken the muscle and smooth out wrinkles. Within days, patients will experience a revitalized, rejuvenated look lasting up to four months. Pommier Med Spa takes a comprehensive approach to your facial aesthetics and anti-aging needs. We combine neurotoxins and dermal fillers for a targeted treatment on the face, solving multiple deficiencies in one appointment. In addition, you’ll be able to see results quickly!

What is Baby Botox?

Baby Botox, more commonly known as mini-Botox or Barely-There Botox, is an increasingly popular cosmetic treatment for people wanting to get started on prevention against aging. Instead of the typical Botox that uses a large dose, Baby Botox uses a smaller dose of Botox and is more natural-looking. If you’re new to Botox and want something less dramatic, Baby Botox could be a great treatment option! Your doctor will set you up with your customized treatment plan during your initial consultation.

What do I need to know before my procedure?

Appointments generally take up to 30 minutes, depending on the area of skin you are treating. To minimize bruising, we recommend avoiding anti-inflammatory supplements before your appointment. This can also include Vitamin E, flaxseed oil, and fish oil.

What do I need to know after my procedure?

Botox requires little downtime. After your procedure, you can resume the rest of your day’s activities. Most people will have “Botox bumps” at the injection sites, which are small bumps that look similar to a mosquito bite. These bumps go away independently and last approximately 10-15 minutes after Botox injections. We recommend letting the injection sites heal alone and not massaging the area to reduce swelling. After your treatment, we recommend refraining from exercise and facials for at least 24 hours.

How is it Done at Pommier Med Spa?

At Pommier Med Spa, we are committed to providing you with the best Botox treatment to alleviate aging-related concerns in a straightforward procedure by our highly experienced and qualified injectors. First, your provider will remove any makeup and treat the area to be injected with an alcohol swab. Topical numbing cream can be applied to the treated area to alleviate any minor discomfort during the treatment, but most find this unnecessary. Next, the Botulinum Toxin is injected using a tiny needle. This treatment is not painful and is completed in a matter of minutes.

How Long Do Effects Last?

You might experience an improvement in the look of your skin as early as three days after your appointment, but it can take up to fourteen days to see the maximum result. How long your Botox treatment lasts largely depends on a few factors. While individual results may vary, enjoying your Botox results for three to four months is typical.

Will I still be able to make facial expressions with Botox?

That’s up to you. Whether you want a natural, more rested, and rejuvenated look or little movement in your forehead, our providers will deliver the desired results. Discuss your goals with your provider upfront and be very open about it.

What other conditions does Botox treat?

Botox is FDA-approved for treating patients who experience excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis. During the procedure, neurotoxins are injected into multiple areas in the underarm, blocking the nerve signals responsible for sweating. Botox for underarm sweating typically lasts approximately three to four months, but individual results may vary. Botox, shown to reduce symptoms of TMJ and migraines, is injected into the muscle tissue. This relaxes their muscle structure and reduces any associated pain or discomfort. Neurotoxins for TMJ have been proven highly effective; a recent study found that 90% of participants improved from using them.

Are there any side effects?

The most common side effects are minimal swelling and bruising at the Botox injection sites. There is an extremely low chance of infection.

Can I get Botox while pregnant?

NO, Botox should not be used on pregnant or breastfeeding women.

What Are the Pretreatment Instructions for Botox?

Before treatment, take the following precautions to ensure the best result and avoid any inconvenience during and after the treatment.
● If you have any special event or occasion, get your Botox at least four weeks before the
event to ensure peak results.
● Always notify your provider if you have cold sores. You may be prescribed an anti-viral
medication to ensure you do not get a cold sore.
● If you take blood-thinning medications or supplements or get bruises easily, you may
experience mild bruising. Therefore, you may be advised to avoid taking such
medication for two weeks before your appointment.
